Please note that the COP-MOP 9 begins today.

In this regard, please note that there will be a UNEP/CBD Joint CEPA Fair Series of Presentations for the 15th anniversary of the entry into force of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, Thursday 22 November 2018, 1:15 to 2:45, in the CEPA Fair. The CEPA Fair is in building 1 of the Sharm El Sheikh International Congress Center. Presentations will be held by UN Environment, South Africa, Bolivia and the Joint Research Center (European Union).

There will also be a number of SCBD or UNEP side events, including:

Capacity building for mainstreaming biosafety: integrated implementation of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, the Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol Liability and Redress and the Convention on Biological Diversity, Tuesday, 20 November 2018, at 13:15, Luxor - Asia and the Pacific Room.

More side event information will be provided shortly.

There will also be a celebration of the entry into force of the Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress on Tuesday. More information will be sent soon.
